Do away with the unconditionaly-created EXPR imaginary node.
Just have the first _actual_ expression node appear at the top level.
Add a CONDITION node so that the 'condition' rule doesn't attach parenthesis
start/stop tokens to the top-level expression, breaking formatting expectations.
